Group Term Takaful
Group Term Takaful is a non-guaranteed yearly renewable takaful plan. This product covers Death or Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) either due to all causes or natural causes:
The following riders are applicable under this plan:
a) Partial and Permanent Disability
The sum covered as described in the Schedule of Benefits for Partial and Permanent Disability is payable upon disability caused by sickness or accident.
b) Accidental Death and Disablement
The sum covered according to the Scale of Indemnity for Accidental Death and Disablement is payable upon the participant sustains bodily injuries effected directly and independently of all other causes by violent, external, visible and accidental within twelve (12) months from the date of accident.
c) Accelerated Critical Illness
The sum covered of the critical illness benefit is payable in one (1) lump sum upon diagnosis of a critical illness to help you coping with the extra medical cost. The maximum sum covered shall not be more than RM 500,000.
d) Non-accelerated Critical Illness
The sum covered of the critical illness benefit is payable in one (1) lump sum upon diagnosis of a critical illness to help you coping with the extra medical cost. The maximum sum covered shall not be more than RM 500,000. Should death or TPD occurs during the coverage term, the full sum covered should be paid.
e) Terminal Illness
The sum covered of Terminal Illness is payable upon participant suffering from a condition, which in the opinion of an appropriate medical consultant is highly likely to lead to death within twelve (12) months. Maximum sum covered is RM 350,000.
f) Extended Death
If a valid claim for TPD is payable in respect of a disabled participant, the Death benefit should be extended and the sum covered will be payable subject to the participant die within twelve (12) months from the TPD date.
g) Compassionate Allowance / Funeral Expenses
The death benefit will be payable within forty-eight (48) hours subject to sufficient proof of death provided. The maximum sum covered shall not be more than RM 5,000.
h) Referral Emergency Assistance Programme
Participant is entitled to the following benefits:
i) International Medical Assistance Programme
ii) Domestic Medical Assistance Programme
iii) Car Assistance Programme
iv) Home Assistance Programme
v) Travel Assistance Programme
An upfront fee of up to 25% of the contribution will be charged as Wakalah fee. The upfront fee is mainly used to cover direct distribution costs and management expenses incurred in the management of takaful funds.
Group Hospitalisation & Surgical Care Takaful
Group Hospitalisation and Surgical Care Takaful plan is a yearly non-guaranteed renewable. It is available either cashless or on reimbursement basis.
The benefits that are included under Group Hospitalisation and Surgical Care Takaful are as follows:
• In Hospital Care; and
• Ambulatory Care
The availability of the following riders to each covered participant under the Group Hospitalisation and Surgical Care Takaful plan will be determined in consultation with the master certificate holder:
a) Group Out-patient General Practitioner Care
b) Group Out-patient Specialist Care
c) Group Dental Benefit
d) Group Maternity Benefit
e) Group Major Medical
f) Group Long Term Care
g) Group Extended Benefit
h) Group Organ Transplant
i) Group Special Major Medical
